For Sun Corridor Network, connectivity means more than just high-speed internet: It also means increasing digital opportunities for thousands of students, workers and citizens throughout the state.
Arizona’s residents should have access to the resources necessary to succeed in the 21st century. Reliable broadband is an essential tool for participating in today’s world, helping people connect to education, pay bills and handle countless other aspects of their everyday lives. A high-speed network also means people can find employment and participate in civic life.
All of these elements – employment, education and financial management – are key for communities to flourish in modern society. Today, they are largely enabled by high-speed internet.
The need for broadband solutions
Reports have shown that millions of people in the U.S. lack access to reliable broadband speeds, or don’t have internet access at all. Slow or nonexistent speeds limit their ability to accomplish daily tasks, whether to complete a virtual job interview, download homework, make a doctor’s appointment or other crucial needs.
Sun Corridor Network aims to address this challenge by providing Arizonans with the fast broadband network they need for living and working. Founded by Arizona’s three sister universities – Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona – Sun Corridor Network aims to leverage its community to scale internet solutions statewide and foster digital access.
A decade after its founding, Sun Corridor Network remains a leader in its mission of connectivity, continuously striving to enhance internet access for Arizona’s students, workers and lifelong learners. Through its efforts, SCN is laying the groundwork for a more connected and prosperous Arizona.
